Joana Design Studio is the name of a jewellery project that creates unique and personalised jewellery. Joana de Sousa Henriques, the creator, born in 1982, graduated in Industrial Design with 15 years of experience designing and monitoring the entire production of stands and exhibitors. With a Postgraduate degree in Packaging Design, then came the training in the area he always liked, High Jewellery. The magic of creating exclusive and innovative pieces, creating new concepts of use, is the biggest objective and a great challenge. Using noble materials mixed with others and various types of stones, Joana Design Studio will be able to create original and exquisite jewellery pieces among other types of accessories.
Art, architecture, design is the biggest inspiration. The taste for humour appears in the concept of some pieces. I intend to create jewellery pieces with a different language, exploring new ways of setting the stones, maintaining the simplicity and harmony of the piece in shapes and colours. In terms of ecological thinking, explore giving more functions to a piece of jewellery that can be used in a different and funny way. Giving more use and versatility to a piece of jewellery that, being handmade and some unique, is always a greater but lasting investment.
All work is done in the workshop, by casting or by hand, according to the design of the part.

In September 2019, she was awarded an honourable mention by Portojoia through the Collectiva Meeting'19 International Exhibition, which brings together a selection of contemporary jewellery artists from around the world. Then the participation in October in the Artistar Jewels exhibition during the Milano Jewellery Week 2019. 2020 ends with the participation in the Brazil Jewellery Week. 2021 participated in 2 international exhibitions, Romanian Jewellery Week 2021 and the exhibition JOYA BARCELONA 2021, as a selected artist. 2022 with an exclusive participation in Artistar Jewels during Milano Jewellery Week 2022.

Pixel collection was one of the first, that pixelised iconic images to a set of stones and geometric forms. X collection is made up of several unique pieces that vary in shape according to the shape of natural or synthetic stones, cut or raw. The particularity of these pieces is precisely the way the stones are set. A big collection of ear cuffs and earrings is now the main creations. That you don’t need any hole to fix it, and also can use like a ring. Unique pieces that you can use in different ways with stones and different materials matching the colors. Every stone has a bright and cut, so the creation is always different in the same concept.
