Sedge hats used to be an indispensable item in people's lives, used to protect them from the sun and rain during agricultural work and for traditional events and festivals. Although these were not only practical but also beautiful to look at, it is rarely seen anymore as lifestyles have changed with the times. I decided to create this work in the hope of making the sedge hats, which has fallen out of use in modern life, accessible to us again by turning it into jewellery.
